Maqetin emails the trials that stall.
It follows each trial through the actions you choose, like the first project, the first invite and the first invoice. When someone stalls, it emails them or the account owner. In-app tips and reports on which message moved the number are planned.
Sample workspace: Shelfwise, stock and invoicing software for independent shops, based in Austin.
Four templates will cover the path from trial to renewal.
Change each trigger to the action that matters in your product.
| Journey | How it runs |
|---|---|
| Trial activation | trial.started→wait 3 days→notinvoice.created→email |
| Feature adoption | trial.started→wait 14 days→notfeature.used→a short how-to |
| Trial expiry | trial.started→wait 11 days→notplan.upgraded→email |
| Upgrade prompt | limit.approaching→email the next plan |
In-app messages will show up when someone reaches a feature.
For example, a tip the first time someone opens the invoice screen, or a banner as they near a plan limit. Your app will decide when to show it, so nothing interrupts someone mid-task.
- You will be able to draw them in your own components, from the same message data.
- They will be measured like everything else: shown, clicked, dismissed, and the upgrade that followed.
Emails can go to the account owner.
The person who stalls in a trial may not be the person who pays. Your app saves the owner's user id, as text, in a trait on each person's profile, with identify(). The owner needs a profile of their own, with an email address, in the same workspace. A Send step can then email that owner, and the email can mention both people. The owner's own opt-in and unsubscribe link apply, and one step sends them at most five emails an hour.
You will compare retention by sign-up month, source or first-week action.
You will click a cell in the grid to message that group.
